Recently, a user experienced problems with another software on her
machine. the desktop guys couldn't figure out why, so they wiped the
drive and reloaded it. Prior to this, she was accessing a 2000 format
database using Access 2007 with a properly coded short cut. After
this reloading of the drive, she now gets an error that Access 2007
cannot run older format databases and mentions running a compact/
repair to fix the problem. the database has undergone a compact/
repair, but still it won't even let her enter in a login and password
- same error occurs. What could be amiss that is causing this
problem? No changes have been made to the database, only her machine
has been wiped and reloaded.
