2008 power point

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Power PC In powerpoint 2008 I cannot find the old slide formats that I am used to from 2000. Where is an option for a title and a bulleted list or a title and list list on one side and a photo on the other. When I hit on the layout page I get very few choices

How can I present both text and a picture or text and a chart? I also do not seem to be able to insert any files from word documents I have stored on my hard drive.

It's just a change of names more than anything else... Plus flexibility.

What used to be called 'title & bulleted list' is now "Title & Content". If
you add text content it serves as a bulleted list but you can put any other
type of content into it instead.

The other that you mention is now called "Two Content" plus a new one Called
"Comparison". The latter has a Title Placeholder for the slide plus separate
title placeholders for each content placeholder.

Overall the number of layouts may be fewer but those which are there are
more versatile. Have a look at PPT Help starting with 'Learning roadmap for
PowerPoint' to familiarize yourself with the new version.
