255 signs in a text field

I'm new to Access and I'm trying to build a new database.


I have created a text filed, but it is limited to 255 signs. Can I increase
that?
I'm using access XP

Staffan,

A text field is limited to 255 characters. Change the
field type to Memo to allow upto 2gb of data.
