2nd day please help

I have been trying to publish my 1st web sight for 2 days now. I have gone
to my hositng company, and they have reset everything up and say it is
working fine. Extensions are loaded and ready to go. I am using parcom to
host. My domain is www.thesartelles.com. When I go to the remote web site
location in frontpage and put in domain, username, and password (by the way,
they walked through this with me) it just says connecting and never connects.
Then when I cancel it tells me that it must be something wrong with my
hosting company. Please help, any advice is appreciated....

Are you sure that your host has provide you with the correct login info for publishing via FP http
mode, which can be different from the login info use to upload via FTP?

Do you have Windows XP SP2 installed with the Windows Firewall active or Norton Anti-Virus
applications installed and running?

I guess I should also say that when i hit the ok button on un/pass it just
pops up again like i have put the wrong password in...but it is very much
correct

i guess i should also say that when i put in the username and password and
hit 'ok' it just keeps poping back up like I have entered something
inaccurate.

they gave me each username and password which were different. also i do have
sp2 but i do not have it enabled...i don't think...if I tried to upload using
ftp would that mess me up or should i just keep trying with thefrontpage part?

Don't try uploading with FTP.

Forget about publishing for a moment, have you tried to actually open the live/remote site from
Internet Explorer | Edit with FP or from within FP using File Menu | Open Site?

I had this same problem with frontpage and I had to disable windows firewall,
then it went thru

I did try opening an internet explorer page to my site and editing with
frontpage. it asked me username/password and i gave it the one for frontpage
ext. I just popped right back up. Could it be because my DSN isn't up yet.
I have been registered for about 4 days now.

Yes, DNS could be a problem if your site is on a shared IP, where you can only access it via it
domain name. This can take up to 72 hours to be updated around the internet, and depending on your
ISP, then may only update their DSN on Sundays, etc.
