2nd Request - Is this stumping everyone?

Outlook 2003 suddenly stopped sending messages

I browsed the most recent 20 pages but can't seem to find
a reply to my exact problem.

I have mail in my Outbox that won't send. I am a
broadnand user connecting to my POP 3 account. My
connection (Outlook is not working off line) is live and
I receive mail OK. My settings are to send/receive
manually

What I have noticed is that when a new mail is created
and I hit send, it places the mail in the Outbox, BUT it
has a date of "None" and the Envelope Icon is open, not
closed (as if I have not licked and sealed it).

I can delete the mail, close and re-open Outlook, write a
new mail and the same occurs.

Also if you forward an email in the Outbox, it will
actually send but the original won't.

This is driving me crazy. I have been unable to use for a
week. I have scoured help pages etc with no joy.

Please can you provide me with some assistance to restore
my sanity.

Thank you in advance

Simon

What add-ins are you running that might be checking your messages when you
send them?

Do you have multiple email accounts? I find that if I receive an email with one account I must make sure that account is used to send a reply. If the mail you are replying to is not your default, it won't send it, there is a drop down box that allows you to change the sending account. Not sure if this is your problem, hope this helps.

Thanks Brian. I only have one account setup.

It is actually when I create a new mail, not reply to one.

Replying to a mail doesnt work either.

Only forwarding an unsent email from the outbox works

Thanks Russ

Only Exchange Extensions in the Add in Manager ( Idont
use exchange. And Norton Anti Spam in Comms add in.

Disabling it does not work

When you set up the email account did you test the mail settings. Some mailers want passwords to send mail.

You sure you're not running antivirus that scans outgoing mail?

I had this problem when i was using BT broadband and had
a freeserve account for email. Is the account from your
broadband supplier,If not then I would either subscribe
an email account with your supplier or use something like
msn and use outlook to view your emails and send emails.

Hope this helps

Regards
Brian
