i have 3 pc's at home .... and i want to buy office pro 2007 so do i need to

Only the MS Office 2007 Home & Student edition allows for activation on up to 3 family PCs. Other MS Office 2007 retail editions
allow one desktop and one portable/laptop for the same primary user. OEM-labeled products and volume licensed ones allow only one
machine per license.
In your scenario, from the information provided, it would appear that you'll need two licenses for MS Office 2007 Professional
edition (retail), or a Home & Student license and then purchase the additional apps separately if you don't need all of them in all
3 locations.
