1. How do I change the server name so I can publish with
my new account? ex. I changed my server from neo.rr.com
to brinkster, but when i try to publish it won't let me
it keeps defaulting to:ftp://home.neo.rr.com.

2. Where and how do I upload my pages that I created on
Frontpage? what i mean is, i link the home page to other
pages but they won't show up on the website. someone said
it's because it's a document and not an html. I don't
know this stuff, I am just a new frontpage user.

3. How do upload my sample music and put it on the web?
because it is one of the links i created on the home page.

What's the URL for you web?

2- You upload the WEB to where ever neo.rr.com has told you to. Having your URL would be helpful here.

You shouldn't use FTP unless neo.rr.com does not offer Front Page Server Extensions support. You can use FTP but you'll lose some features of FP by doing so.

1) I assume when the password prompt comes up, you type in the new details and
click "OK" - remember to check the 'remember password' box (maybe this is what
'saves' the details and from what you describe it is 'remembering' the old
details. the next time you want to publish click 'open web' and so on , then
"publish web" and it should open the server connection correctly (and prompt for
password/username) along the way.

2) Once you're connected to the web server - just select the files from your
open web and click publish, or more precisely if you're publishing for the first
time, click publish once you get the two file listings (local and remote).

3) Upload the file with the link to the music file and then upload the music file
itself in the same directory that it is in on your PC.

Frontpage creates HTML documents, and a few other formats, but mainly html - your
friend/whoever sounds confused. ANY document can be viewed (but not all
documents are web pages (HTML)).

Hi Karla,

1. Don't use the default. Use File|Publish Web... and enter the correct URL
in by hand.

2. You don't "upload pages." You "publish a web." A web site is not simply a
bunch of disconnected files. It is an integrated set of linked documents.
Treat it like separate files in FrontPage, and that's what you get. Treat it
like a web and that's what you get. FrontPage is very accomodating, but it
requires some knowledge of HTML and the WWW to use it correctly.

3. Import your music files into your web. Publish the web.
