32 meg file size limit?

I have a very large (580 meg)Works document that I want to
open and use Word 2000 to author/edit with. This document
has many JPEG pics inserted into.
When word tries to open document, it returns error message
saying it is over 32 meg in size, then aborts opening?
Please tell me it isn't so.

It isn't so. But sorry, that statement was a lie. Word 2000 has a size limit
of 32MB. But you should have better luck with Word XP or 2003 where the 32MB
file size is for text content.
