3D Text Boxes

Muzza

Hello. Can anyone help me? I have created a 3D box, in the
shape of a book lying flat. The text that would be the
title, however, does not align with the 3D aspect of the
shape. Does anyone know how to slant the text to match the
shape of the book? Thanks!

Muzza,

If you are using powerpoint 2002/XP/2003 it's worth using something called "word-art" (it's built into powerpoint) (see
Insert menu > picture > wordart).

Choose your style and enter your text.

Then, from the word-art toolbar choose "word art shape", then the relevant shape....cascade up works good for me. You
can then use the yellow marker to adjust the shape, or the green marker to rotate the shape.

Hi Muzza,
If you are planning to use 3D more, you might be interested in
Perspector. This is a new PowerPoint add-in that can be used for
creating 3D images.

With Perspector, text is automatically aligned with 3D shapes. As an
example, I have created a presentation with 2 views of a book lying
flat. You can download the presentation from:
http://www.perspector.com/powerpoint/examples/26may04-book.ppt

For more information about Perspector, visit http://www.perspector.com/.
