40% problem with update

Dario and I are having the same difficulties you are.
Does anyone know what the fix is?

This worked for me without screwing anything else up. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
IN CAPITALS FIRST!

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\<Product code number
that refers to Office 2003>\Patchesold

When I checked for this, I don't have any entries at all named patches. Could this be causing a problem for me? I'm hanging at 40% also.
