I'm trying to convert a 5 digit date to a mm/dd/yyyy format. I've seen this called a serial date, Julian date using 1904.
I know in excel, I can change the date format from 1900 to 1904, format the cell to a date and everything's good, but I don't want to have to import files multiple times if I can write a query to do so.
example: The 5 dig number I have is 40294. When converted using 1904 date method is 4/26/2010
