500 Internal Server error on share point server

When I am trying to access Public Documents site URL(ex:
http://Servername:Portnumber/sites/MS-ProjectServer_Public Documents) on the
share point using Microsoft Project,I am getting the following error.
"500 Internal Server Error".
Unable to access Public documents.
Please help out here.

Hi Gilla,

1. Confirm that you have run the the SharePoint Configuration Wizard that is
part of Project Server 2003 on the server hosting SharePoint. If the
SharePoint server you are hitting is not the same server as your project
server, the wizard must be run on the SharePoint server to setup the project
site templates, etc...

2. From the Admin page for managing Windows SharePoint, Perform the
recommended validation procedures listed there:
- Test Central Admin
- Confirm Service Account has Access
- Finaly test public docments site.
