550 not local host... not a gateway

In Outlook 2003, I run Exchange for internal and pop3
(internet email hosted by ISP). On select few clients,
when they forward/reply to external email it gets bounced
back immediately with "550 not local host sbcglobal.net,
not a gateway". I have looked at Microsoft Knowledge Base
Article - 834866 but with no success... any thoughts
anyone?
