"550 relaying mail to firstcitizens.com is not allowed"?

J

Jimmy Mack

I get this message every time I try to E-mail anyone from a motel or from
anywhere other than my home/office. What can I do to allow this?

That error comes from attempting to send email through a server not owned by
the network you're connected to. To correct the problem, change your
Outgoing server name from the one you normally use at home/office to the one
owned by the ISP you're connected to (E.G. SMTP.yourhomeISP.com should
change to something like SMTP.motelISP.com)
