60 Day trial - Upgrading

J

Joe

I purchased a new computer with 60 Day trial of Office 2003 installed.
I would like to upgrade to life time.
Can I just buy an upgrade version at a retail store or do I need the buy the
whole version.
I would perfer to have the disks versus upgrading on line.

Hi, Joe;

Suggest you start by reading this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/trial/convert.mspx and the link on that
page to http://www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial/convert.mspx

That will hopefully answer some of your questions about how to go from
the Trial version to a fully licensed version. The important part that
answers your question is "All personal computers with the Microsoft
Office 2003 Edition 60-day trial preinstalled also have Microsoft Works
preinstalled. This qualifies the PC owner to obtain the retail upgrade
version and price of Office 2003 Editions."

So you can purchase the Upgrade version to complete the conversion
process.

Hi Michele,

If you have an internet connection you can use the Activate choice in the Word Help menu, although you may need to be sure that your
firewall product allows the connection.
