66,000 excel record limit

how do you split a file into two (in Excel) when you have exceeded the
limit of 66000 lines. please advise.

I'd open the file in Notepad and split it there.

Then do multiple imports.

An alternative to consider is to upgrade to XL2007, which has 1
million rows.
