8 Hour Work day patch question

John

I have a question about the patch that Micrsoft will give out for the 8 hour
workday bug (knowledge base article 331973).

The article describes the symptoms as appearing in Project Web Access.
However, my question relates to Project Professional (2002) itself. In
testing, I have scheduled a task with a duration of 50 days. I have a
resource calendar attached to a resource with alternating Mondays off.
Project does schedule the task with the correct Mondays off, but it only
shows 8 hours of work scheduled even though I have everything defined as a 9
hour workday (when I mean everything, I mean the calendar tab on the options
menu, and the calendar itself). Does the patch that Microsoft provides
correct this error?

Did you apply the working hours change to the Enterprise Global? If so, did
you set the server to not allow local base calendars?

I did apply the working hours change to the Enterprise Global. I did not
set the server to not allow local base calendars.

Does the patch correct Project Pro 2002, or just time in PWA?

I changed the local base calendar switch on the server, I also double
checked the enterprise global and the time was a little not quite accurate
on that one, so I corrected that too. It all now seems to work properly.

Thanks for your assistance.
