9101 Error

E

Earl Forrence

Hi,

I'm attempting to load resources into Enterprise with

Tools /Enterprise Options /Import Resources to Enterprise

selection. Have given all the information the wizard asks
for; but just a completion (it seems) of the import, I
receive a 9101 error from the server.

The resources do seem to be in the system as expected.

So, the questions are:

1. What is the 9101 error?

2. Am I to presume that the import actually did
not complete correctly?

While I'm at it; isn't there a list of error codes and
reasons somewhere that I could reference?

Thanks ... Earl

And the answer to your question most like is that your ViewDrop Folder is not set up correctly:
The proper permissions for the folder:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;328249
Method 2: Verify the ViewDrop Folder Permissions
To verify the folder security permissions, follow these steps:
Log on to the server by using your domain user name and password.

Note You must have a local Administrator or Domain Administrator level user name and password to the reconfigure the folder security
permissions.
Click Start, point to Programs, and then point to Accessories.
Click Windows Explorer, expand My Computer, and then click the drive letter that contains the ViewDrop folder.

Note The typical installation point is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Project Server\Bin\ViewDrop

Right-click the ViewDrop folder, and then click Properties.
Click the Security tab, and then view the list of names and groups that have permissions on the folder. Verify or add the following groups or
user names with the appropriate permissions:
Administrators Full Control
Authenticated Users Full Control
Everyone with the following permissions: Modify, Ready & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read, and Write
Internet Guest Account Full Control
System Full Control
Click Apply, and then click OK.

If the errors reappear please try the following configuration:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Project Server\Bin\ViewDrop

Administrators - Full Control
Authenticated Users - Full Control
Internet Guest Account - Full Control
System - Full Control

This should resolve the errors.
