_derived folder

My forms have ceased to work afte a bit of a revamp, on reading threads
further down the list, it seems I need the _derived folder, and maybe a few
more. The derived folder is definitely not there, probably deleted in
error, how do I get it back?

The _derived folder is on needed if using themes, not for forms. Form would need the _private folder
if have the form data written to a file.

How did you revamp your site, which should only be done from within FP.

The _derived folder is totally managed by FrontPage and is never seen
in the file/folder list within FP. If your site needs it, FP will
create and populate it.

The only FP form that needs the _derived folder is the search form
when used on a Windows server running Index Service.
AFAIK, the only other use for _derived is Navigation buttons when
using a theme.

Thanks. I have no idea why my previously perfectly good forms don't work
then.

I revamped the site within FP (I don't know any other way). I now get a
message about not being able to run the FP extensions on this page. Try it
and see www.flintanddenbighrc.com click summer show, then click entry form.

Still baffled, and I have my webhosting package support working on it.

One thing to do, is to remove all spaces from all folders and file names as this will cause broken
link and could also be any issue with this form.

The problem lies in the location of the saved results:
"Flint and Denbigh Riding Club/_private/form_results.csv"

If "Flint and Denbigh Riding Club" is a subweb, then you cannot save
the results there. The extensions cannot save data in a different
web - and a subweb is a different web.
If "Flint and Denbigh Riding Club" is not a sub web, then the results
should be saved to "_private/form_results.csv"

Thank you, that's fantastic! They work now.

Thanks again.
