_vti_cnf files

Hi, every folder I create in my FrontPage web has an associated hidden
folder entitled _vti_cnf that houses duplicate html documents and other
assorted rubbish. I say "rubbish" because deleting them has no apparent
consequence to the working of my webpage either on my hard disk or when
uploaded. But not deleting them causes problems with images when using
JAlbum. The problem is that these _vti_cnf files keep reproducing
themselves after they have been deleted when I use FrontPage. Several
times I have done a WinXP search for them and deleted them in batch but
is there some method of permanently deleting these pesky folders?

Pete,

I have tried to delete them many times in the past and I just can't do
it. I have not yet found a way to get rid of them, other than not using
FrontPage. It is something that is created by FrontPage and even at the
MSDN site, you can not find any information about getting rid of them.

I have no trouble deleting them when FrontPage is closed. But each time
I do, they are recreated. Very annoying.
