I may have stumbled onto something that has resolved my Network Passwrod
pop-up problem and NO, it's not
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290684. ; I tried
that fix several times and it did NOT resolve the problem at all. I also saw
where some on this forum fixed their problem by deleting and re-creating
their Outlook accounts. Others ended up reformatting their hard-drives.
Well, this little freeware tool that I found at CNET.com called "Advanced
WindowsCare 1.6" is so much simpler than any of that. The tool's purpose is
to repair and optimize Windows. Run it and it fixes the Windows errors
found, including those in MS Office. So far, I haven't had any more Network
Password popups. I'll need to run it for a week or so before it gets a 100%,
solid endorsement but so far, so good.
Enough people have reported time and time again that Miscrosoft support
document 290684 does not work!! If it worked for you-- fine and dandy, but
it sure didn't work for me so I was forced to keep digging and to keep
looking for something else. I've got my fingers crossed that AWC 1.6 fixes
this annoying problem forever.
