A Great IDEA???

Dear All

I am thinking of new ways to improve on my excel report which consist
mainly of charts and numbers/tables... Does anyone has a great ide
which will leave anyone who use this report to be impressed...? wil
really appreciate any suggestions...

Best thing for reports is to highlight the key information. Conditional
formatting is good for this.

Agreed conditional formatting works great, anything that makes a report for
harrassed boss easier to read, directing though or adding to the analysis
brings dividends

One way I handled these situations is to work with hyperlinks
On the opening sheet I create a kind of menu with an overview of the data
and the way I have worked it, sorted it, and presented it

Including diagrams to show how and why data is linked sometimes is also a
good thing to stress

On each sheet I create a link back to the main menu or to the following
relevent sheet or external file

It is also good practice to sketch an overview of the end product before
starting up you computer

Always keep in mind the five p rule

Perfect Preparation Produce Perfect Presentations

It is often very rewarding to spend that extra time if the prospected result
is important

Remember

YOU know what you've done but, THEY have no idea
