A new tutorial - "Don't do this with FrontPage!"

E

E. T. Culling

It's snowing freezing rain here ... what better time to write a new
tutorial! So many who come here are frustrated about thumbnails, the larger
versions of their photos, the difficult photo gallery component, so I have
come up with this to help you:
http://www.eleanorstravels.com/frontpage-dontdo.htm
It's new ... please reply with comments, typos etc.
Hope this helps,
Eleanor

So that's why I can't write tutorials......It was 90 yesterday ;)

Anyway, just a couple of typos, *verticale* and *simle*.

Aloha, and keep it up, I follow a lot of your suggestions.

Aahhhh sunshine......on the west coast of the land Down Under it reached the
old century mark (39.5deg celsius) yesterday (Mon 17th).

G'day from Australia - the "Don't Do it with Frontpage" tutorial is a fine
idea, keep up the good work.

Icy bits plinking on the window.................
Andrew ... Thanks for your comment!
Where are you from on the west coast. I toured from Perth to Darwin last
April ??? (AATKings tour)
I'll be flying to Melbourne on March 1st ... to spend the month exploring
three different areas ... The Great Ocean Road, S of Perth (AATKings again),
and the NE of NSW.
Tons of new ph0tos after that. Have you seen this page from last year:

G'day!

Thank you so much! I have broken many rules but will try not to do it
anymore. Got to fix some things!

Getting ready for a freeze of 30 degrees - one of our coldest nights yet
this winter!

Eleanor,

Greetings from another Aussie,

Great photos. I'd love to see your next lot.

I'm a Canberran, but have been to Perth, Fremantle and some tours out from
Perth e.g. the Pinnacles and also south to Margaret River.

My wife Carole has been to Sovereign Hill - she was brought up in Victoria,
but after 40+ years living in Canberra with me, she is now a Canberran also.
We haven't been to USA, but recently went to UK via Japan. I may post some
OS photos on my website soon. It is easy to find - currently No 1 in Google
under Trevor and Carole.

Cheers, Murray. You have certainly had it a bit hotter than us in ACT
lately.

Eleanor,
I have read the tutorial - looks good.

I have used autothumbnails, so I will now have a look at doing it the way
you have outlined, especially as in this newsgroup I have heard stories of
problems trying to update PhotoGallery. The stories seem to say it is easier
to redo it rather than try to amend it.

So why not use a better way to start with :)

BTW, Reading between the lines of Wes' post, e.g. the temperature, his
address <[email protected]>, and his Aloha to end with, I would say he
lives in Hawaii !

Thank you so much for the tutorial. I have been using FP 2002 since it came
out, and all of a sudden, for the last 6 months it has been destroying all of
my photo galleries. I do have one question, how do I incorporate JAlbum into
a Web site created in FP 2002? I might have overlooked that being answered,
and if I did, I apologize, but I do want to fix this Microsoft blunder.
Thanks again for your tutorial.

Not when I posted my question, but I am there now and have found the
tutorials. Thx.
