Hello,
Why an installation package produced with Office Developer Package Wizard
2003 isn’t recognized like an older installation package I’ve produced a
couple years ago even when I use exactly the same template to produce both
installation packages and they are, as I can see, absolutely identical.
I have inclusively changed the revision number of the appfile.msi to the
revision number produced in the past, as I notice that this number changes
every time I make an installation package.
The problem is that when I try to uninstall my application from add/remove
programs, having lost the older CD, it reports an error saying that the
appfile.msi is not a valid installation package
If I try to remove my application from the new CD SETUP I have produced
recently, I can remove it without problems.
This cause to me to have to tell to users “do not remove it from add/remove
programs†and say it again and again …
Thank you
