A short Outlook story

Up until this weekend the company where I work used GroupWise. I did NOT
like it and was thrilled when I learned that they were migrating to Outlook
on Dec 2. I have only been there for 2 months so I didn't bother getting to
learn much about GroupWise. The little bit I used was somewhat similar to
Outlook. Nothing MAJOR when it comes to sending emails.

The migration took place this past weekend and everything seems to have
switched over, at least on my end. HOWEVER...... there must have been a
dozen emails that I got from people who sent test messages out to everyone
in the global address book. I'm talking hundreds of people! And let's not
forget to mention the idjits who sent in a "Test message received" as a
Reply to All.

I'm sooooooooo glad I'm not working for the Help Desk. I would have had to
wring a few necks today.

It being a Monday, I fail to see any other choice for you.. Looking on the
bright side, today is a new day, and NOT Monday.. wear gloves.. it makes
that act of neck wringing feel more 'remote'.. :)

You would have been proud of me. all I did was sit here and shake my head.
We
have people who read these newsgroups who are noobies and they'd know
better
than to do a bonehead thing like that.

Reminds me of a West Wing episode where the admin assistant to the chief
of staff brought down the email server when she sent an (irrelevant to
work) email to hundreds of people who then replied...

Did she omit a zero on her 'price per hour'?
