I have an app built in Access 2k, and I'm looking in to putting the backend
in SQL Express. Obviously, I'd like to take advantage of the upsizing wizard,
but I can't get A2K to find the SQL Server that I have running. I've also
tried creating a ODBC DSN and it won't find the server either.
I know that the Server is up & running because I can see it & manipulate
things in Management Studio. I am a rookie at SQL Server, but if I had to
guess, I'd say that it's acting like the permissions set SSE are preventing
anything from seeing it. I'm using Windows authentication and everything that
I'm trying is on the local machine (I'll tackle the networking issues next)...
Any suggestions? Do I need to change some security settings in SSE?
