2007 Publisher
1. Attempting to make a booklet. A4 folded in half. Landscaped but when
folded is Portrait.
2. I have a front cover with picture and Text. My Logo on the back of the
cover.
3. Also need to include 14 pages inserts (7 x A4 folded pages).
4. Pages don't necessarily need to be numbered.
5 I have used Birthday Card A4 folded twice to prepare all of the text
for the 8 pages
(16 pages when folded) Saved every page separately in readiness:)
saved them 1 to 16.
6. I did it this way as I make loads of cards and am familiar with the
format.(Middle of the night here)
and I am desparate to get started but it is not an emergency.
7. I have all 16 pages including (14 pages of text) prepared separately
ready to be copied/pasted when I learn how to procede.
8. I desparately need guidance as what to do next.
9. Probably making very hard work for myself, but rather than waste time
I decided to try to get started.
10. I need so much help now it is unbelievable.
11. I have a printer that would require me to re-feed the printed pages. It
is not a duplex printer.
12. Not sure on how to post my questions correctly as I am a newbie and
have recently been
working with Powerpoint. That was hard enough but starting afresh
with Publisher as well
it is doing my head in.:-(
I have only used publisher to make Birthday/Christmas cards.Cover
and folded inserts (A4 folded)
13. To summarise. I need a lovely little booklet to be stapled in the
middle. A4 folded twice.
front and back cover with 14 pages in the middle.

Would someone please, please try to help me.

I regularly read the postings on this group but have not saved any TIPS.Cant
get my head round the FAQ things! All this sounds very complicated to me,
but in the past I have read some of the most excellent responses from you
good people.

Thank you

File > Page Setup > Booklets > 1/2 A4 Booklet (14.8 x 21cm) > OK

(Or if creating a new file, File > New > Blank Page Sizes > Booklets >
1/2 A4 Booklet (14.8 x 21cm) > OK)

Hello Maureen,

Select booklet in the page setup, when you fold it, it will fold to A5.
Publisher by default keeps the pages in proper order on the screen. Printing has
changed in this version of Publisher, but since you have not used earlier
versions, it will be easier to explain.

In print preview there is an icon on the toolbar that allows you to see many
pages at once. This will help you to understand what page is next to what page.
For example, page one and page 16 are next to each other. When you print, type
1,16 in the page range, print. Turn the page over, type 2,15 in the page range
and so on...

There is help here, even though it is a UK web site, it has US sizes but the
method is the same.

Thank you Ed and Mary,

How to make a person happy?

I will give it a try later today. Saturday I have loads of visiters and it
is like living on a bus stop! Thought about ringing them all to ward them
off, so that I could eagerly set about my booklet. Not having been too well
of late it would be very selfish of me :-(
I will post back when mission accomplished.

Thank you both so much:)

Thank you Mary and Ed.

Mission accomplished.
I now have what I think is a beautiful booklet.
Must go to "Staples" tomorrow (on my crutches) to
buy myself a long stapler ! ! Don't want to use glue.
