It would be helpful to lay uers if MS would briefly describe (2
sentences)what the product is/does in About MS Product. For instance, under
Help/ About Internet Explorer this gives information about the version of IE
and SP#. It does not state anything "ABOUT" the product otherwise, such as
what IE does or is. Perhaps new users do not know this is a browser for the
internet. I found this would have been helpful for Microsoft InfoPath 2003
(What is this new product?) Its a simple thing, but for new users it would be
very helpful to read that Microsoft Word was a word processor used for
authoring documents, etc, Microsoft Excel was a spreadsheet crreator or
whatever. Windows 2000 was an Operating System, etc.

See http://office.microsoft.com for all information about the products and
their use in Office. Since IE is a part of Windows, see
http://www.microsoft.com/windows for information about IE.

This is how most major producers of software inform the public about their
products and usage.

One presumes that since you bought it, you already know what the product
contains and how to use it.
