About the 25/75 rule in EV

Hi

I know that Project only supports percent complete and physical percent
complete when it comes to EV calculations. But I am curious if it's possible
to implement the 25/75 rule by using physical percent complete. Thus marking
any started tasks with 25% and any finnished tasks with 100%. Does anyone
know if this is possible? We are currently inn the prosess of moving over on
project server, is it possible to use the same practice on Project Server?

The important thing to note is that Physical Percent Complete applies only
at the task level. So as long as you assign one resource to one task, your
EV calculations will behave as expected. As far as implementing the 25/75
rule, that's a matter of training your resources. Effort-based schedules
will always give you more accurate tracking including EVA.

Thx for your reply Gary, I wasn't aware that physical percent complete only
applies to the task level. We often have more than one resource on one task.
That means this is not the right aproach for us.
