About the Exchange Server

I just got Outlook 2003, and I get this error message when it loads,
"The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavaliable.
Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action"
All I want to do is use Outlook, I don't need all this confusing stuff....

close outlook. open control panel, mail (user category if you use the
category view) and delete the exchange server from your profile. add the
correct account type.
