ABRUPTLY DISABLED OFFICE PROGRAMS

Has anyone encountered an instance where Microsoft Word,
Excel and Outlook all of a sudden stopped functioning
completely? This occurred at the start of business this
Tuesday. From the Start menu, an error message pops up
indicating that these programs are not installed when
trying to open these programs. I went to bed Monday night
with every program working perfectly. Now I can not open
any of my documents on my hard drive.

When trying to open documents through windows explorer, my
computer automatically freezes. Help please!!!

I have seen this on an associates system. They had the Swen virus
(loaded by installing the program from that fake Microsoft Update
email). Is your antivirus up to date and have you checked for that?
