Absolute URLs and Relative URLs question

D

docellis

Thanks I will try that tonight.

*FrontPage will only manage relative links. To use Absolute links
first
publish your images to the web site.

Then, in your local web, use the absolute address from the websit
for
the images. When you save the page in the "Save images" dialogue
opt
to use the images from their present location - do NOT save the
into
the web. The absolute link to the image will be retained.
Note that you will be asked to save the images *every* time you sav
the
page.

To speed up the web building process, you could use local copies o
the
images (Import them into your web site first), then when the page is
complete save the page - do not close it. Then use Find and Replac
to
replace
<img src="images
with
<img src="http://www.example.com/images
(in source code for that page only) which will change the relativ
links
to absolute (assumes the page is in root folder and images are in
images folder). Again when you save the page do NOT save th
images.
