acc97-->acc2000 question

I have converted an access 97 application to acc2000
without incident. But when I try to use the application
(ie open a table) I get the error 'Cannot Update. Database
or Object is read-only'. I have checked the permissions
and they are 'full-control'. Can anyone suggest something?

Hi,

Try creating a new blank Access 2002 file and import the objects from the
97 or 2000 version by going to File, Get External Data, Import.

Hello Amy,

Thanks for trying, but it still does not work. The file
the access application is trying to import is a txt file
but does not have a .txt extension. It continually says
that 'Cannot Update. Database or Object is read-only'.
Any other ideas?
