Acc97 frontend gets 'connection failed' error fromSQL7 on some WS

I have an access 97 frontend which successfully works from 85% of the
workstations at my company, but gets "ODBC - connection to server '10.0.2.7'
failed" upon the first query from others. They can all successfully ping
10.0.2.7.

Does anyone have any ideas what's going on or what can be done?
