accde looses functionality

Up until now, when i make an accde file, it has been working fine. For some
reason when I create the accde now it looses event functionality. I am using
a split data base and do reference separate databases. This has alway been.
Is there something in the configuration that the tells the system to ignore
code when the accde is created?
I am not aware of anything that I might have set to dissable this.
Everything works fine in the accdb.
