Access 2000 - Error 3761

Error 3761 - The Decimal field's precision is too small to
accept the numeric you attempted to add .... pops up every
time I import a table from an ODBC data source. I
downloaded both the Jet 4.0 service pack 8 and MDAC 2.8
for windows 98 but am still getting the same error.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

SYMPTOMS
In Access 2000, when you run aggregate functions against decimal data types
that appear in tables linked from an ODBC data source, you may receive the
following error message:

"The Decimal field's precision is too small to accept the numeric you
attempted to add."
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install the latest Jet 4.0 service pack. For
additional information about how to obtain and how to install the latest
Jet 4.0 service pack, click the following article number to view the
article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
