Access 2000 Help Files question.

This seems the most logical place to post this query, but
does anyone know why the help files that come with
Access2000 are so broken and rubbish? I'm not completely
new to Access200 and VBA but even now I'll try to look up a
function and there will be no help on it, even though the
link to the help is there. Are there any fixes that anyone
knows about? I'm going to assume that this is a standard
problem as I have seen this occur with many different
copies of Office2000 that I have used.

Microsoft severely broke HELP in Access 2K. When I really get stuck, I
either rip out the Access Developers Handbook (Litwin, Getz and Gilbert) or
fire up Access 97 and look in there. I have heard that Access HELP has
gotten a little better in the subsequent versions.

I had a similar problem with Access 2K and XP. It seems to
transpire that a couple of help files are copied into
the 'wrong' directory within WINNT. I copied the files
from the 'wrong' directory to the 'right' directory, and
all was fixed. Unfortunately, I can't remember the
filenames or the directories, but I typed the error
message into Google and it came up with a discussion group
with exactly the answer that I wanted.
