Hello,
I am creating a database for a resort. Our promotion allows people to stay
at our resort for a reduced price if they attend a tour of our time-share
properties. However, customers can only use this promotional offer twice in
a lifetime AND only once a year. In order to track the history of our
customers' use of the promotion, I would like to create a "promo history"
text box in my data-entry form.
There are a few fields that record the date and time of the time-share tour,
and the status of the tour (whether the customer attended or not). I would
like to put a "CONFIRMED" button right next to these fields. When the button
is clicked, the tour date, time, and status are automatically sent to the
"promo history" text box, where the info will permanently reside (cannot be
edited w/out password). I would like the tour date, time, and status fields
to be cleared when the "CONFIRMED" button is clicked. That information will
instead appear in the "promo history" textbox.
The problem is that I do not know whether it is possible or not for Access
to perform such a function. And if it is possible, how do I make it happen?
Thanks,
Diana
PS-I'm open to alternate solutions as well.
