Access 2000 ver 9.0.6926 versus 9.0.8948

I need a little help finding a version of MS Access 2000. A user is getting
an error when running a job in Access 2000 that other users running the same
job do not get. The only difference is the version of Access they are
running. The user getting the error has version 9.0.6926 and the users not
getting the error have 9.0.8948. I've tried searching for that version number
but I can't find any KB or update that mentions that version. Can anybody
point me in the right direction for this?

Thanks

The versions change as Service Packs are applied. Make sure that all Service
Packs are applied to all machines.

They both say SP3 and they both have the latest updates I could find on
Microsoft's Access 2000 download page.

Now that's interesting. My version of A2000 is also 9.0.6926. Which
matches http://support.microsoft.com/kb/255275. So I have no idea
where 9.0.8948 came from.

So I'm of no assistance. Sorry about that.

Security update.

Possibly the Word security update? -- that was a longstanding problem
in Access (so it was a problem in Access 2000 as well as Access 2007),
and Word is maintained much more pro-actively than Access, so they
might have patched Access 2000 to protect Word 2007.

And it would be listed as a Word update rather than an Access Update?

David's right: this has to do with the updates such as security patches.

Under Help | About, my copy of A2000 on WinXP SP3 reports itself as:
Microsoft (r) Access 2000 (9.0.8968 SP-3)

But if you look at msaccess.exe in My Computer, its version is 9.0.0.6620. I
find this more informative, since it is specific to Access. So that's what I
show on my software's Help | About and splash screens:
http://allenbrowne.com/ser-53.html#MSAccess

(Mind you, hotfixes still do affect this version number.)

Ah, I'm still on Win XP SP2. Help >> About shows 6926 SP3 but the
msaccess.exe shows 6620. Interesting. I've never noticed that this
could be different.
