I have a database that was saved by mistake as a .mde
file, all of the create new options have been turned off
along with the toolbars and menu bars. When I open the
database the swithboard opens but the F11 key does not
open the database window. When I click on any of the
buttons on the switchboard, I get the following error
message "there was an error executing the command".
The only way to get the database window is to click on the
open database icon, but once the database window is open
you have not toolbars, menus except to select close and no
create new buttons or options,

Frustrated

You cannot create a MDE without already having a MDB. I
suggest looking around for it on you PC/Server. If the MDB
is deleted create a new MDB and import what you can from
the MDE. You will only be able tables and queries. You
will have to recreate the forms, macros, reports and modules.
It is not much but a start.

Good Luck

Jim
