when I link a .dbf file in ms access2000, I recieve a message "the microsoft
jet database engine connot open the file '*****.dbf'. It is already opened
exclusively by another use, or you need permission to view its data"
How to correct this problem?

What is the version of FoxPro you are using? Alternatively, you can create an
DSN (Data Source - ODBC) to point to these *.dbf files by choosing "free
table".

When perform linking in Access, choose the DSN you have just created, then
point to a file you want to link in to MS Access.

Good luck!!
