Access 2002 - missing indexes

I have a database where indexes regularly go missing. It is repaired
and compacted daily apparently without any problems. I have already
imported the tables into a new database but the problem persists.

Does anyone have any ideas?

If the index is corrupt, Access may delete it during a compact. The
important issue is to try to find what is causing the corruption.
