I've tried to repair this database file after receiving this error message,
but Access just keeps shutting down in the middle of the repair. Anyone else
run into this before? Anyone have any idea what I can do to recover this
file? Thanks in advance

Jenn,

You may need to create a new blank database and then try importing the
objects (forms, tables, queries, modules & macros) from the corrupt
database into the blank one. You may find one of the objects won't
import and have to recreate that object.

Hope that helps.

Not all corruption is recoverable. Try importing objects as Rick suggests. For
a detailed description of the causes, symptoms and cures for corruption see
Tony's excellent FAQ:

Hi,

There is a tool called Advanced Access Repair. I have used it to
repair many corrupt Access MDB files on my damaged disks successfully.
Its homepage is http://www.datanumen.com/aar/

I think you can have a try.

As previous post describe that all data is not recoverable but you ca
repair it at maximum extent. You can search for Access Repair tool o
google or you can download demo version of stellar phoenix Acces
Recovery software. Its demo version will show you repaired file withou
any cost. If you like it than you can purchase it. Lin
