Hi. Running Access 2003 on XP Pro system with all patches. I'm using it to
display member information that includes contact info along with photos.
All works well except when I advance too quickly from one record to the
next. Each time I display a new record a dialog box briefly appears:
"Importing (path and file name)." This box goes away--usually. If I
advance too quickly the dialog box stays on the screen (even though the
images are already loaded) and even quitting Access doesn't make the box go
away. I have to go into Task Manager and terminate the program, which is
hanging around because of this open dialog box.

Any way to suppress this dialog? Is there a patch that corrects this
problem?

Thanks for the quick response. I tried the regedit fix but it does not
work--at least on my system! I set the key to "No" but the dialog box still
appears! Go figure. I guess I'll try Dev's subroutine.

Did you try setting the value for the other filters (GIF, PNG, etc.) too?
