I am not sure whether this is the appropriate forum, but I seem to get the
best answers here, so I'll give it a try.
We run Access 2003 on a Citrix server. For years, users run have queries,
then turned those queries into Excel spreadsheets using the "Analyze it with
Microsoft Excell" button on the toolbar. Suddenly, within the past few
days, users have been receiving the error message "XXXX Cannot Open OLE
Server" where XXXX is the name of the application.
In fact, Access/Office is creating the spreadsheet and saving it in the
specified folder. The user can find the file in the folder, click on it,
and Excel will start and open the file.
So this file is created and saved, but Access does not seem to be able to
open Excel and display the file.
There are a couple of users out of the 20 or so who do not have this
problem. I myself had this problem on Friday, but today everyting is
working fine for me, but not for most of the others.
Any help would be much appreciated.
