Hello everyone,

I've found a Run-time version for Access 2000, and Microsoft are now giving
away the Run-Time for Access 2007. Is there a Run-Time download for Access
2003?

Thanks,

Franc.

Care to direct me to the one for 2000?

The download is for those who have a LEGAL copy of Microsoft Office 2000 Developer. This clip from the download site:

If you have a licensed copy of Microsoft Office 2000 Developer, you can download Microsoft Access 2000 Run-Time Minimum,
also known as Art2kmin.exe.

Of course, plenty of people disregard that little tidbit.

Hi Keith,

I don't remember I'm afraid, it was a while ago. But if you google
'Art2kmin.exe' you should find it.

Hope this helps,

Franc.

Hi Allen,

Thanks for that. Another great website with lots of useful information.
It's been bookmarked!

Do you know why A2003 runtime isn't free, but A2007 and A2000 are? Is it
something that they will revise?

Cheers,
Franc.

AFAIK, the A2000 runtime was not a free product.

The decision to make the A2007 runtime free of charge is therefore a new way
of encouraging people to use Access.

2000 was NOT free, but there is a download that uses the honor system (you are
only supposed to download it if you have purchased the developer's kit).
Unscrupulous or non-attentive go ahead and download it anyway.
