Access 2003 runtime

What software do I buy to convert an access database into
a package that will run on other computers that do not
have access installed on them. I have heard it is access
runtime but I can't find out which product has it in it.

Hi.

If you purchase the Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System
2003, then you'll get a copy of the Access Developer Extensions to use for
creating the package for your Access 2003 application. You'll also get an
unlimited Runtime license to create as many Runtime versions of your
applications as you need. You'll need either Office 2003 Pro or Access 2003
installed on your computer in order to install the Visual Studio Tools, but
it sounds like you already have that covered.

To get the packager and unlimited Runtime license for earlier versions of
Microsoft Office, you will have to purchase the Office Developers Edition.
These versions are harder to find, because Microsoft no longer manufactures
and distributes them to retail outlets.

HTH.
