Access 2003 / SQL Server 2005

Will SQL Server 2005 support a front-end of Access 2003. I am getting
confused with all the SQL Server Express / MSDE talk going on. Just a simple
question - will the new SQL support a front-end of 2003 with linked tables?

Thanks in advance.

that link is quite correct, but of course is referring to using a ADP
project. You can still use the ms-access as a front end to sql server, and
use linked tables which is quite different then using a ADP project.

The above mentions that ADP support for sql server 2005 is going to be
limited to compatibility mode.

However nothing is stopping one from using linked "odbc" tables in ms-access
to sql server (any version). So, if you don't use a ADP project, then
linking of the tables from access to sql server should not be a problem at
all....

Thank you both.
I should have been more specific and stated that I was not interested in the
ADP due to its shrinking involvement in future releases.

I was just afraid of getting the "your Access is too old for SQL 2005" error.

I appreciate your time.
