Hi Guys,

I have just upgraded from a2000 to a2003 and keep getting message boxes
warning of macros and Microsoft jet 4.0 service pack 8 to be upgrading

I have tried the jet 4.0 service pack which warns me that my current version
is newer?

Any ideas of what I can do to clear these please

Thanks Les

MS purposefully crippled Access by prompting us 3 times for security;
I reccomend moving to php/mysql

Hi.
I have just upgraded from a2000 to a2003 and keep getting message boxes
warning of macros and Microsoft jet 4.0 service pack 8 to be upgrading

That's not what the warning says. It's pretty confusing, because that
warning is for Access 2002 users, who didn't have Jet 4.0 SP-8
pre-installed, so they need it in order for the Sandbox mode to work
correctly.

Access 2003 needs Jet 4.0 SP-8, too, but it's pre-installed, so seeing that
message makes one think, "I need to install it." When this is attempted,
one is advised that it's already installed.
Any ideas of what I can do to clear these please

Set Macro Security level to low. Select the Tools -> Macro -> Security...
menu. Select Low and the "OK" button to close the dialog window.

Gunny;

now; if you could just get MS to mother fucking fix this bug instead
of selling us a new version; I'll stop bitching

of COURSE it is a pain point

does Excel prompt the user a half dozen times?
is not Excel a _MUCH_ larger threat?

I have the same issue with macro security level. However, when I go to
TOOLS>MACRO> on the menu I do not have an option for SECURITY. Is this
something that just wasnt installed? Or is it possibly something that my
SYSAdmins are disabling?

Thanks for any assistance.
