Access 2003 upgrade

New pc with WinXP and with Office "Basic Edition 2003" We've purchased a
copy of Access2003 upgrade and are unable to install. Returns an Error 1608 -
"cannot locate a version of Office 97, 2000, or XP." Is an Access 2003 full
version required?

Yes. You cannot upgrade products of the same line. You should have checked
this before purchase - most retailers won't take back opened software -
especially when the purchaser was at fault.
